About Us & Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of store.thaihousebh.com (the “Website”) and your purchase of products from Thai House Cosmetics (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

Consumer Rights: Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under Bahrain Consumer Protection Law No. 35 of 2012 (including replacement/refund at no cost in case of defect or non-conformity).

Definitions

“Customer” or “you” means the person using the Website and/or purchasing products. “Order” means your request to purchase products from us. “Carrier” means our logistics partners (e.g., Aramex, UPS).

Products, Pricing & Payment

We aim to display accurate product information and prices. Prices are shown in BHD unless otherwise stated and may change without notice. A minimum order value of BHD 5.000 applies.

We may cancel or refuse an order (e.g., stock errors, suspected fraud). If payment was captured and we cancel, we will refund you to the original method of payment.

Payments are processed by trusted gateways (e.g., Tap). We do not store full card details.

Order Processing & Dispatch

Orders are typically processed within 1–2 business days after payment confirmation (excluding national holidays). Processing times are estimates and not guarantees.

Shipping, Delivery & Tracking

  • Delivery Estimates: Domestic: 2–3 business days (excluding order day). International: typically 4–7 business days. Actual times may vary due to customs, weather, or carrier network constraints.
  • Tracking: A tracking link will be provided upon dispatch. You agree to monitor tracking updates and be available at the delivery address.
  • Address Accuracy: Ensure your address and contact details are correct. Address changes are possible only before dispatch. After dispatch, please contact the carrier directly.
  • PO Boxes: We do not ship to P.O. boxes.
  • Delivery Attempts, Pickup & Storage: If you are unavailable, carriers may attempt redelivery or hold-for-pickup at a facility for a limited time. You are responsible for collecting the parcel within the carrier’s window and for any storage/clearance formalities.

Unclaimed Shipments / Hold-for-Pickup / RTS (Returned to Sender)

If delivery fails due to receiver unavailability, or you request Hold-for-Pickup and the parcel is not collected within the carrier’s timeframe, the shipment may be returned to sender (RTS). In RTS cases where there is no defect or non-conformity, you may choose:

  • Reshipment to a confirmed address — you pay only the actual reship/return freight charged by the carrier (no handling/admin fees from us); or
  • Refund of the goods value only once the items are received back in sellable condition. Original outbound shipping is non-refundable as it is a consumed service (transport, delivery attempt, hold-for-pickup).

No Response After RTS: If we notify you of an RTS and receive no written instruction within 3 business days, we may proceed — acting reasonably — with Refund of goods value only to the original payment method and notify you accordingly. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Customs, Duties & Taxes (International)

Shipments are supplied on a DAP (Delivered At Place) basis unless we state otherwise. You are responsible for any import duties, taxes (including VAT), clearance fees, and compliance with local regulations. If you refuse to pay duties/taxes or fail to complete clearance, the RTS policy above applies.

Inspection on Delivery & Transport Damage

Please inspect parcels at delivery/collection. If damaged externally, note it with the carrier if possible and contact us promptly with photos and order details. We may liaise with the carrier to investigate.

Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

  • Defect / Non-Conformity: If an item is defective or not as described, you are entitled to replacement or refund at no cost in line with Bahrain Law No. 35 of 2012. Contact us with evidence and we will arrange pickup/return shipping at our expense.
  • Change-of-Mind (Non-Defective): Exchanges may be accepted (at our discretion) within 7 days domestic / 14 days international if unopened and in original condition; you pay shipping both ways. Cosmetics/personal care items cannot be returned/exchanged once opened, unless faulty or not as described.
  • Refund Method: Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing times depend on your bank/payment provider.

Cancellations

You may request to cancel an order before dispatch. Once dispatched, please refer to the Returns section. We reserve the right to cancel any order and refund you if fulfillment is not possible.

Force Majeure & Delays

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., customs delays, carrier disruptions, natural events, regulatory actions). Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Content on the Website is for general information only and is not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional for health-related questions. Individual results with cosmetic products may vary; testimonials reflect personal experiences only.

User Content, IP & Linking

  • User Comments/Content: You are responsible for content you post. We may moderate/remove content that is unlawful, infringing, or inappropriate.
  • Intellectual Property: All Website content is owned by or licensed to us. You may not use our trademarks without written permission.
  • Hyperlinks: You may link to our homepage fairly and legally without implying endorsement. We may withdraw linking permission at any time.

Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We use cookies and similar technologies as described therein.

Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain. We aim to resolve issues amicably. For consumer complaints, you may also contact the Consumer Protection Directorate (MOIC) for amicable settlement in accordance with Article 11 of Law No. 35 of 2012. Subject to mandatory consumer procedures, Bahraini courts shall have jurisdiction.

Language

These Terms may be provided in Arabic and English. In case of inconsistency, the Arabic version shall prevail.
