Return & Exchange Policy (Domestic & International)

Statutory Rights: Nothing in this Policy affects your consumer rights under Bahrain Consumer Protection Law No. 35 of 2012. If a product is defective or not as described, you are entitled to a replacement or a refund at no cost.

1) Eligibility & General Conditions

  • Items must be unused, in their original packaging, and accompanied by a receipt/proof of purchase.
  • Cosmetics & personal care: for health protection, opened/used items are not returnable or exchangeable unless faulty or not as described.
  • Please report in-transit damage or visible defects as soon as reasonably practicable (preferably within 48 hours) to help us investigate. This does not limit your statutory rights.

2) Defective or Not-as-Described (Domestic & International)

  • We will provide a replacement or refund at no cost (including return shipping, if applicable).
  • Contact us at info@thaihousebh.com with your order number, photos/video (if available), and a brief description.
  • We will arrange return or pickup instructions and process the resolution promptly.

3) Change-of-Mind (Non-Defective)

3.1 Domestic (Bahrain)

  • Exchange only within 7 days of receipt if unopened and in resellable condition.
  • Visit our store with the item and receipt: Block 341, Road 41, Building 428, Juffair, Manama.
  • Customer pays any price difference if the new item is higher; if lower, we may issue a store credit for the difference.

3.2 International

  • Exchange within 14 days of receipt if unopened and in resellable condition.
  • Email info@thaihousebh.com to obtain return instructions and the return address before shipping anything back.
  • For change-of-mind returns, the customer arranges and pays for return shipping. Once received and inspected, we will guide you to place a new order.

4) Unclaimed / Hold-for-Pickup / RTS (Returned to Sender)

If delivery fails due to receiver unavailability, or you request Hold-for-Pickup and the parcel is not collected within the carrier’s window, the shipment may be returned to sender (RTS). When there is no defect or non-conformity, you may choose:

  • Reshipment to a confirmed address — you pay only the actual reship/return freight charged by the carrier (no handling/admin fees from us); or
  • Refund of goods value only once we receive the items back in sellable condition.

Note: The original outbound shipping is a consumed service (transport, delivery attempt, hold-for-pickup) and is therefore non-refundable, except where required by law in cases of defect/non-conformity.

No Response After RTS: If we notify you of an RTS and receive no written instruction within 3 business days, we may proceed — acting reasonably — with Refund of goods value only (to the original payment method) and notify you accordingly. This does not affect your statutory rights.

5) Customs, Duties & Taxes (International)

Orders are supplied on a DAP (Delivered At Place) basis unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for local import duties/taxes/clearance fees. If duties/taxes are refused or clearance is not completed, the RTS policy above applies.

6) How to Start a Return/Exchange

  1. Email info@thaihousebh.com with your order number, reason (defect/non-conformity or change-of-mind), and supporting photos/videos where applicable.
  2. Wait for our confirmation and return instructions (and a return authorization, if required).
  3. Pack the item securely with the invoice. For international returns, mark the airway bill “Return shipment to Thai House Cosmetics”.
  4. Share the tracking number and keep proof of postage. Risk of loss passes to us upon receipt.

7) Refunds, Timelines & Methods

  • For defect/non-conformity: replacement or refund at no cost. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
  • For change-of-mind: domestic exchange only; international exchange per Section 3.2. Where a refund of goods value is applicable (e.g., RTS), we process it within 3–5 business days after inspection. Bank processing times may vary.
  • Price differences on exchanges: you pay any balance due. If the new item is cheaper, we may issue a store credit for the difference (not applicable to defective/non-conforming cases where full legal remedies apply).

9) Language

This Policy may be provided in Arabic and English. In case of inconsistency, the Arabic version shall prevail.
